Dr. Andre DesEtages currently works as a Consultant in Spinal Cord Medicine at Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, Great Britain. Dr. DesEtages was born and raised in Trinidad, West Indies. In 1994 he graduated from medical school at University of the West Indies, Jamaica. From there he went on to intern at the San Fernando General Hospital (Trinidad, West Indies) and completed his postgraduate surgical training in the United Kingdom. Dr. DesEtages has training in clinical neuroscience, rehabilitation medicine, and spinal cord medicine. He also earned a Diploma in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in 2002 from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Acumedic Foundation. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Medicine Institute and Register (CMIR).
Seeking meaning is important to Dr. DesEtages and he is a Spiritual Baptist minister through the Mount Bethel Mystical Divine Faith Healing School. Dr. DesEtages is also a member of the Rose Foundation of Trinidad and Tobago.
In his spare time, Dr. DesEtages enjoys swimning and practicing Martial Arts. He has trained in the martial arts with Professor Don Jacob at Purple Dragon Don-Jitsu Ryu in Trinidad and Tobago (https://purple-dragon.com)
